Overview

At Crash Override, I built a lightweight platform prototype from scratch: a local playground for exploring interactions and product ideas beyond static screens. I began by giving the agent detailed design-system context alongside polished Figma flows and interaction requirements, then worked with Codex to translate these into a functional React prototype. The code is version-controlled in GitHub and runs locally, creating a fast environment to test behaviour, refine edge cases, and decide whether an interaction is worth taking forward.

Covered below are a few of the interactions I developed and tested in the prototype.

Onboarding flow — Interaction patterns and animations for the onboarding flow, guiding users from sign-up through environment questions to a focused getting-started screen.

Configurable listings — Interaction patterns for customising listings by showing, hiding, rearranging, or freezing columns, and grouping results.

Views — Save and quickly return to frequently used listing configurations, including search, filters, column settings, grouping, and sorting.

Chat panel — An adaptive panel with docked, overlay, and floating layouts, resizing, dragging, animated greetings and prompt suggestions.

Miscellaneous — Light, dark, and system themes, profile-photo upload, a responsive collapsible sidebar, and configurable grain and dither shader backgrounds.
